Description
Surgical Technologist
Location: Decorah, Iowa
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks minimum
Schedule:
- Primarily 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (may start as early as 6:00 AM depending on surgery caseload)
- On-call rotation approximately 1 night every 2 weeks
- On-call every 5th to 6th weekend
- Holiday on-call rotation included
- Approximately 36 hours per week
Job Responsibilities / Experience
- Must be experienced in the following surgical areas:
- General Surgery
- Orthopedics
- ENT
- OBGYN
- Podiatry
- Urology
- Dental
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must remain within 30 minutes of the facility when on-call
