Description
Registered Nurse - Cardiology (Travel)
Location
- Lewiston, Maine
- 37-bed unit specializing in Cardiology and Pulmonary care
- Trauma Level III facility
- Patient population includes post-op cath patients and those with cardiac conditions such as stroke, CHF, A-fib, arrhythmias, and cardiac caths/stents
Job Details
- Travel assignment, approximately 13 weeks in length
- Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3 twelve-hour shifts per week)
- 36 hours guaranteed weekly
- Every other weekend required
- No call requirements
- Float required to all units except M3; assist in Emergency Room as needed
Unit & Equipment
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
- Equipment includes Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling and portable Hoyer lifts, portable cardiac monitors, defibrillators (x2 for transport), and EKG machines
- Electronic Health Records: Omnicell, EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac PCU (Progressive Care Unit), with at least some experience within the last year
- Experience in Cardiology and Telemetry
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system
