Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Assignment

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Position in a 37-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with a surgical patient population.
• Shift: Night shift, approximately 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
• No call requirements.
• Float required to all inpatient units.

Unit & Patient Population

• Trauma Level III facility.
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients.
• Patient diagnoses include medical management of diabetes, pneumonia, trauma, general surgery, bariatrics, plastics, and urology.
• Equipment includes specialty bariatric beds, wound vacs, prevena vacs, and Baxter IV pumps.
• Electronic Health Records: Omnicell and Epic.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience, with Med-Surg experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• The unit has an Ultrasound IV Team available 7 AM to 10 PM to assist with IVs.
• Scrub color: Navy Blue.
