Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location: Salem, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Schedule includes:
- Weekday scheduled shifts (10 hours)
- Weekday night call shifts (8 hours, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekend scheduled and call shifts (10–12 hours)
- Up to 6 call and/or weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date (can start pending physical)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B titer or vaccination series (booster or declination if low titer)
- Annual flu vaccine or signed declination
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug test within 90 days of start
- Background checks: 7-year criminal background check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and international checks if applicable
- Education verification as applicable
- Badge photo with white background required at least 8 days prior to start
- Completion of required HealthStream modules by due date
Notes
- First-time travel nurses are allowed to apply
- Drivers license or state ID required for onboarding
- Fit mask testing must be completed onsite within the first week of starting
- Call and weekend shifts are part of the schedule and may be required up to 6 shifts per 6 weeks
This position offers a structured schedule with a mix of day shifts and call responsibilities in a hospital operating room setting, suitable for RNs with at least 2 years of experience and current Oregon licensure.
