Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (19:00 - 7:30)
- Weekends required every other weekend
- Shift start times vary: 07:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 19:00
- Schedule posted every 6 weeks
- Non-holiday days off (DTO) are 5 days plus 1 week added to the end of the contract
Job Description
- Work in a busy Emergency Department with typical adult and pediatric ER patients
- Patient care areas include ambulance triage, ED holding, lobby triage, and 40 total beds (11 hallway beds and 29 regular beds)
- Clinical skills required:
- Breathing treatments
- Chest tube setup and care
- CPAP/BiPAP management
- Procedure sedation and rapid sequence intubation (RSI) drugs
- Tracheostomy care and ventilator management
- Blood and blood product administration
- Cardioversion and defibrillation
- Use of cooling/warming blankets
- Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)/dialysis
- Obtaining 12-lead EKGs
- Use of rapid infuser devices
- Must be open to floating to different campuses within the system
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
