Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location
- Lewiston, Maine

- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit & Facility Information
- Unit: Pediatric & Adult Medsurg (M4)
- Trauma Level III facility
- Number of beds on unit: 27
- Patient ratios: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
- Patient population includes general med-surg, pediatrics, hemo and peritoneal dialysis, cardiac drips, post cardiac procedures
- Equipment used: Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling and portable Hoyer lifts, portable cardiac monitoring, defibrillators (x2 for transport), EKG machine
- Electronic Health Records: Omnicell, Cerner
Shift & Hours
- Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: None
- Float requirements: Yes, float to all units except M3; assist in ER as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 3 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience with cardiac drips and titration
- Experience with Cerner
Skills & Experience
- Telemetry nursing expertise
- Post-operative catheter care
- Management and titration of cardiac drips
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with common diagnoses such as stroke, congestive heart failure (CHF), atrial fibrillation, arrhythmias, cardiac catheterizations/stents, and med-surg care
