Description
Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Registered Nurse)
Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule & Shift Details
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7 PM to 7 AM)
- Call required every other week (EOW)
- Weekends every other week (EOW)
- Floating and holiday coverage as needed
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Clinical & Facility Information
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility environment
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
Background Checks & Verifications
- 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required, must be finalized prior to start (no pending results)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Childline) search required 3 business days prior to start, renewed every 5 years
- FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days
- Employment application and 2 professional references within 3 years required
- Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts required
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Fit testing for approved mask types within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; chest X-ray required if TB positive
- Required vaccinations or positive titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles) – 2 doses or positive titer
- Mumps – 2 doses or positive titer
- Rubella – 2 doses or positive titer
- Hepatitis B – positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) or declination form
- Varicella – 2 doses or positive titer
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap – within 10 years
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption or declination
- Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year (specific to agency requirements)
Certifications & Competencies
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing required within 48 hours of contract signing
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required within 72 hours of contract signing (pass/fail)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Facility-Specific Documents & Training
- Passport-style photo for badge required
- Review and sign facility documents including:
- Code of Conduct
- Confidentiality Agreement
- Commitment to Health & Wellness
- Non-Employee Affidavit
- Hepatitis B Declination form (if applicable)
- Safety and Security Vehicle Registration (if applicable)
- Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (not on cell phones)
- New Hire Orientation required by end of first day
Additional Notes
- Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days
- Candidate clinical fit will be reviewed by clinical team and manager interview required
- All health documentation must include two identifying markers (e.g., full name, DOB, or SSN)
- Candidate must notify if unable to comply with tobacco/fragrance-free policy prior to submission
