Radiology Technician (Rad Tech) - Travel Position

Location: Beckley, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide radiology services including X-ray imaging, supporting a facility that serves all age groups.
• Comfortable working with operating room (OR) cases.
• Work schedule includes 36 guaranteed hours per week with every other weekend and as-needed call and float requirements.
• Facility is a Level III Trauma center accredited by the Joint Commission.
• Uses Meditech electronic health record system.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technician license in West Virginia
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technician experience within the last year
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC)
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician

Work Environment & Additional Details

• Professional dress code: black scrubs; casual wear is not allowed.
• Orientation occurs biweekly on Wednesdays.
• Patient population includes all ages.
• Position requires professionalism and the ability to work in a fast-paced trauma and surgical environment.
• Call and float duties as needed.

Facility Highlights

• Provides care to approximately 13,000 patients annually and treats over 50,000 emergency room visits.
• Offers a wide range of surgical services including robotic surgery, spine, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, interventional pain management, interventional cardiology, gynecological, general, oral, urological, eye, and trauma/emergency services.
• Supports nursing and allied health student extern programs.

Shift & Hours

• 36 hours per week guaranteed.
• Weekend hours every other weekend or as needed.
• Call requirements as needed.

This position is ideal for a licensed Radiology Technician with at least 1 year of experience, comfortable in trauma and OR settings, seeking a travel assignment in West Virginia.
