CVOR Tech - Surgical Services
Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Must have NBSTSA certification (NO NCCT accepted)
- Open heart surgery experience required
- Level I trauma experience required
- Schedule: Five 8-hour day shifts (6:45 AM - 3:15 PM)
- Call every third day with a 30-minute response time
- Possible 2 weekends per month and holidays as needed
- May be asked to float to general OR if needed
- Could care for COVID-19 patients
- EPIC experience required
- Maximum return to office (RTO) time: 7 days
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- NBSTSA certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience working with Level I Trauma patients
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Schedule & Work Conditions
- 40 hours per week, day shift (5x8 hours)
- Call every third day with 30-minute response time
- Weekend shifts approximately twice per month
- Holidays as needed
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Childline) Search completed 3 business days prior to start, renewed every 5 years
- Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required, must be finalized prior to start (no pending results allowed)
- Employment application and most recent resume required
- Two professional references within 3 years of start
- Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts
- Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start (Aya requirement only)
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Fit mask testing within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Required immunizations/vaccinations with proof or valid exemptions:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola) - 2 doses vaccine or positive titer
- Mumps - 2 doses vaccine or positive titer
- Rubella - 2 doses vaccine or positive titer
- Hepatitis B - positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) or declination form
- Varicella - 2 doses vaccine or positive titer
- Flu vaccine or valid Aya medical/religious exemption during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; PPD not accepted
- Completion of required competency exams including medication test/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) within specified timeframes
- Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing required within 48 hours of signed contract
- Completion of facility-specific documents including photo for badge, confidentiality agreement, code of conduct, non-employee affidavit, and health & wellness commitment
- Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (not on cell phones)
- New hire orientation must be completed by end of first day of orientation
