Home Health Registered Nurse - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Position Details

  • Job Title: Home Health Registered Nurse
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks minimum; new contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week; facility may call off up to 3 times during a 13-week assignment
  • Block Scheduling: May be accommodated but not guaranteed
  • On-Call: Not required
  • Floating: Not required
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted within 100 miles radius
  • Mileage Reimbursement: Up to 35 miles radius at federal IRS standard mileage rate
  • Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Absences greater than 7 days require approval
  • Overtime: Paid after 48 hours worked on contracts signed on or after 10/30/2025

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
  • Minimum of 6 months (0.5 years) of Home Health experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) certification
  • MAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) certification
  • Experience in a Home Health setting

Compliance and Documentation

  • Valid non-local driver’s license required (identification cards not accepted)
  • Social Security card required for verification
  • Employment application with at least 3 years of work history required
  • Work history verification for 3 years required
  • Two professional references within the last 3 years required
  • Various facility-specific forms and acknowledgments must be completed prior to start

Additional Notes

  • Home Health travelers will require a second set of fingerprints upon arrival for child safety clearance.
  • Candidates must be prepared to complete pass/fail testing (e.g., EKG competency) with two attempts allowed before contract cancellation.
  • A 6-month break is required after completing 4 consecutive assignments or reaching one year of cumulative work at this facility.
  • The facility is not near public transportation; candidates must have reliable transportation arrangements.
