Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Shift Details

• Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (19:00 - 07:30)
• Option for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required as scheduled
• Floating within the specialty required
• No pre-scheduled on-call requirements

Unit and Patient Population

• Emergency Department (ED)
• 47 beds, average daily census of 130 patients
• Patient ratio approximately 1:4
• Patient population includes all age ranges (infant to geriatric)
• Fast-paced environment with complex and varied diagnoses

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Additional Information

• Floating within the specialty is required
• Facility requires completion of Epic Portfolio Training Test Out form if applicable
• Badge photo and security ID application required
• Facility-specific dress code and confidentiality agreements must be reviewed and signed
• TB questionnaire required if positive TB history
• Drug testing must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• All health documentation must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers with strong ER skills are considered
• This is a fast-paced emergency department setting requiring strong clinical skills and adaptability
