Echo Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: Bountiful, Utah
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (Tue-Fri 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM; no call Tue-Fri evenings; 24-hour call Sat-Sun)

Job Description

• Work independently without additional techs or supervisor on site.
• Perform cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) procedures including transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, and intra-operative echocardiograms in inpatient, outpatient, and intraoperative settings.
• Scan newborns for failed Critical Congenital Heart Disease (CCHD) screenings.
• Patient population includes adults from the ER, inpatient floors, and outpatient scheduled patients.
• Unit is part of a hospital with 125 beds; the cardiac ultrasound unit is not an inpatient department.
• Equipment used: Phillips EPIQ CV 30.
• Documentation systems: Meditech, Merge.
• Dress code: Scrubs required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• Ability to work independently without additional techs or supervisor on site.
• Ability to scan newborns for failed Critical Congenital Heart Disease (CCHD) screenings.
• Certifications required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).

Scheduling & Call

• Scheduled Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
• No call required Tuesday through Friday evenings.
• 24-hour call coverage required on Saturday and Sunday.
