Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Travel Job - Colorado
Job Details
- Location: Cortez, Colorado
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (No call, no weekends)
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Summary
Provide quality patient care and diagnostic information through skilled and compassionate diagnostic medical sonography. Perform imaging procedures with professional judgment to ensure quality diagnostic studies. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers. Maintain patient safety and confidentiality while adhering to regulatory and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist within the last year
- Current BLS certification
Skills and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to explain procedures clearly to patients and healthcare providers
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills
Physical and Work Environment Demands
- Medium physical strength required: ability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Frequent movement including kneeling, crouching, reaching, and repetitive motion
- Exposure to infectious waste, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and occasional foul odors
- Moderate to occasionally loud noise levels; possible interactions with aggressive patients or family members
- Exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind
- Visual demands include color vision and ability to focus at varying distances
- Auditory demands include clear talking and hearing for detailed communication

- Completion of annual regulatory and organizational educational requirements
