Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Work in a Cath Lab unit with approximately 590 beds.
  • Patient ratios are procedural-based.
  • Equipment used includes Merge Charting, GE Fluoro, Phillips and Boston Scientific IVUS, FFR, Impella.
  • Documentation system: Meditech.
  • Scheduling: 40+ hours plus on-call Monday through Friday, on-call PRN.
  • Procedures performed: Left Heart Catheterization (LHC), Right Heart Catheterization (RHC), Watchman device, TAVR, Impella, ECMO, Balloon pump.
  • Required dress code: Surgical scrubs.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist within the last year.
  • Certifications required:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • Cath Lab Tech Certification (RCIS or ARRT acceptable)

Additional Information

  • Candidates must have prior Cath Lab experience.
  • Advanced skills with TAVR, Watchman, Impella, ECMO, and Balloon pump procedures are highly valued.
  • On-call availability is required.
  • The unit uses advanced technology and equipment.
  • No floating policy applicable.
