Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical/Telemetry) - Connecticut
Job Details
- Location: Hartford, Connecticut
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12.5 hours)
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, every other week (EOW)
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Required Onboarding Documentation and Compliance
- Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
- Fit test and respirator evaluation with physician signature
- COVID-19 vaccine proof (including booster through September 2025), or approved exemption/declination (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
- Proof of MMR vaccination or immunity
- Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start
- Influenza vaccine is optional
- Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test; if positive, chest x-ray within last year for Connecticut
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC) with Medical Review Officer (MRO) signature
Professional and Background Requirements
- Signed code of conduct, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and integrity/audit services forms
- Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
- Exclusion screenings including EPLS, OIG, NSO, and OFAC within 30 days of start
- Trinity system access form completed and uploaded one week before start
- CORE exam (Joint Commission testing) within the last year
This position is ideal for experienced RNs with Medical/Surgical and Telemetry skills seeking a 13-week long-term assignment with a consistent 12.5-hour day shift schedule. Compliance with extensive credentialing, vaccination, and background screening requirements is mandatory prior to start.
