Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical/Telemetry) - Connecticut

Job Details

• Location: Hartford, Connecticut
• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12.5 hours)
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, every other week (EOW)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Onboarding Documentation and Compliance

• Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year
• Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
• Fit test and respirator evaluation with physician signature
• COVID-19 vaccine proof (including booster through September 2025), or approved exemption/declination (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
• Proof of MMR vaccination or immunity
• Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start
• Influenza vaccine is optional
• Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test; if positive, chest x-ray within last year for Connecticut
• Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
• Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
• 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC) with Medical Review Officer (MRO) signature

Professional and Background Requirements

• Signed code of conduct, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and integrity/audit services forms
• Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
• Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
• Exclusion screenings including EPLS, OIG, NSO, and OFAC within 30 days of start
• Trinity system access form completed and uploaded one week before start
• CORE exam (Joint Commission testing) within the last year

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with Medical/Surgical and Telemetry skills seeking a 13-week long-term assignment with a consistent 12.5-hour day shift schedule. Compliance with extensive credentialing, vaccination, and background screening requirements is mandatory prior to start.
