Description
Registered Nurse (Surgery) - Long Term Assignment
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Shift: Day shift, 06:45 AM – 3:15 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Must have 2 years of experience in a busy Operating Room (OR) setting.
- EPIC electronic health record experience is required.
- On-call requirement: one night every 2 weeks and one weekend every 6 weeks.
- Work schedule: Five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Workday hours may extend depending on case load.
Required Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois.
- BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- PALS (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- DCI/BVP certification.
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- Operating Room (OR) experience.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
Documentation
- Valid Driver’s License.
Additional Information
- Name verification affidavit is optional and only required if there are discrepancies between credentials.
- Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray documentation is optional.
This position is ideal for experienced OR RNs with strong surgical and EPIC system skills, who are comfortable with on-call responsibilities and working in a fast-paced surgical environment.
