Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Special Requirements & Skills

• Required professional skills include IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, peripheral and PICC line management
• Must be able to adhere to isolation precautions

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks within 30 days prior to start
• Education verification required (official or unofficial transcripts accepted if pending)
• State-specific criminal and offender registry searches within 30 days of start
• Fingerprinting required in Illinois within 3 business days prior to start for clinical candidates without an IL license (cannot be done out of state)
• Competency exam required for all clinical candidates
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within 30 days of start (amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methadone, methaqualone, opiates, phencyclidine, propoxyphene)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including labs completed or scheduled within 7 days of contract signing
• Fit mask test required (3M1860 small/regular, 1870, or 1870+); PAPR users exempt from fit test
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually by November 30

Orientation and Onboarding

• Badge photo required within one week of signing contract
• Completion of computer-based learning (CBL) modules required before or on first day of orientation
• Code of Conduct review and signature required within 7 days of contract signing
• Parking permit form to be completed within 7 days of contract signing (if applicable)
• Badge name confirmation required

Additional Notes

• Guaranteed hours: Client may cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay; cancellations beyond this will be billed
• RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
• First-time travel nurses accepted
• No prior travel experience required
