Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
Location
- Lewiston, Maine
Assignment Details
- Travel position
- Contract length: 10 weeks
- Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend hours: Every other weekend required
- Call requirements: None
- Float requirements: Yes, float to all units except M3; assist in Emergency Room as needed
Unit Information
- Unit: Pediatric & Adult Med-Surg (M4)
- Number of beds: 27
- Patient ratios: 1:4-5
- Patient population includes general med-surg, pediatrics, hemo and peritoneal dialysis, cardiac drips, post-cardiac procedures
- Equipment used: Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, ceiling and portable Hoyer lifts, portable cardiac monitors, defibrillators (x2 for transport), EKG machine
- Electronic Health Records (EHR): Omnicell, Cerner
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH certification with Cerner experience
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred but not required
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 3 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Experience with Cerner Electronic Health Records system
