Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry (Travel)

Northport, Alabama

Travel assignment
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

Multi-specialty unit primarily focused on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry care
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
36 hours per week, every other weekend required, holidays as needed
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
Unit includes medical patients (dialysis, telemetry monitoring, acute medical needs) and surgical patients (orthopedic and general surgery procedures)
Emphasis on pain management, mobility, complication prevention, and patient-centered care in a safe environment

Work Environment

Clinical, patient-facing role
EMR system: Meditech
Dress code: Solid navy scrubs
Parking available

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Additional Information

Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed
