Description
Radiologic Technologist - Interventional Radiology (Travel Contract)
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, approximately 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Description
- Backfill position in Special Procedures Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Call required
- Work in a fast-paced environment with shifting patient volumes
- Typical procedures include:
- Perm Cath/Dialysis Cath
- Angiogram
- Embolization
- Mechanical Thrombectomy
- Kyphoplasty
Unit Profile
- Interventional Radiology department located on the lower level of an acute care building
- 438 beds in the hospital
- Staff includes 7 full-time Special Procedures / IR Techs and 6 RNs
- Day shift staffing: 5 IR Techs and 2 RNs (7 AM–5 PM or 7 AM–3 PM)
- On-call night/weekend coverage: 2 IR Techs and 1 RN
- Equipment used: Siemens Bi-Plane x2
- EMR systems: Meditech (RIS system), Fuji PACS
- Comprehensive Stroke Center
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year
- ARRT Certification (Radiologic Technologist)
- BLS Certification
- HHCCA - De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Neurovascular Intervention and Stroke Care
- Experience using Siemens Bi-Plane equipment

- Downtown Austin location
- Unit encourages candidates with neuro interventional experience but it is not mandatory
