Description
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Assignment)
Location: Dallas, Texas
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Shift: Weekend, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36 hours (no 48-hour approvals)
Call Requirements: Yes
Job Description
- Adult Emergency Room (ER) unit
- 11 AM to 11 PM shift
- Cannot accommodate time off during FIFA event from June 14 to July 14
- Floating as needed
- Documentation system: Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications required:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
- Specialty/unit certifications in Emergency Nursing
Appearance and Dress Code
- Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
- Nails must be clean and healthy; artificial nails, gel, or similar enhancements are prohibited
- Hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab
- Facial hair (beards, mustaches, sideburns) must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos should be covered whenever possible; exceptions addressed individually
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited (e.g., nose rings, tongue rings)

- Floating policy applies as needed
