Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Travel)
Location
- Houston, Texas
- Unit: Emergency Room (ER), Mission Bend FSED
- Unit Details:
- 10 beds
- 7 staff members per shift
- Day Shift: 2 RNs, 1 mid-level RN, 1 doctor, 1 radiology tech
- Night Shift: 2 RNs, 1 mid-level RN, 1 doctor, 1 radiology tech
- Patient ratio: 3:1
- Equipment: Standard Emergency Room equipment
- EMR system: Meditech Expanse
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Rotating weekends
- On-call as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Job Responsibilities
- Perform standard ER procedures
- Work within a team including RNs, mid-level RNs, physicians, and radiology techs
- Maintain patient care with a 3:1 patient ratio

- Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs
- Good personality fit is preferred for the team environment
