Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)

Location

• Longmont, Colorado

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Unit Details

• Cath Lab with 2 suites/labs
• Average 4 cases per day (combination of Cath and Interventional Radiology)

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - AHA

Experience Requirements

• Cath Lab nursing experience is required
• Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred or willingness to learn

Patient Types / Common Diagnoses

• STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction)
• NSTEMI (Non-ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction)
• Pacemakers
• IR patients (due to combined lab setting)

Job Duties

• Circulate and monitor cases during procedures
• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care and calls

Work Schedule

• 4 shifts per week, 9 hours each (36 hours/week)
• Day shifts (7:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
• Call requirements:

  • Approximately 10 weeknight calls per month
  • Weekend call about every 3rd weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Holiday call required, shared among staff (1 major summer and 1 major winter holiday)
• Call response time: 30 minutes

Orientation

• Unit-specific orientation conducted over a couple of days during the week following clinical orientation
• Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation even if some modules are remote

Equipment / EMR

• Epic electronic medical record system
• MacLab and Siemens equipment

Additional Information

• Floating may be required in extreme need situations within a local zone of hospitals
• Dress code: provided scrubs (blue)
• Must submit driver's license for radius verification (60 miles)
