Description
RN - Telemetry
Location
- Alexandria, Louisiana
Contract
- 13 weeks
- Travel assignment
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends
- Block scheduling available
- Must live 50+ miles from the facility
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Stroke experience
Unit Details
- Med-surg/oncology unit
- 31 beds
- 6:1 patient ratio
- Floats to other Med-Surg and Tele units
Skills and Experience
- Strong physical assessment and documentation skills
- Experience caring for acute care stroke patients
- Time management and critical thinking skills
- AIDET behaviors
- Knowledge of core measures and prevention of HACs and HAIs
- Chemo experience is a plus
Work Environment
- Unit secretaries available 6 am–10 pm
- Techs available on all shifts
- Computers and scanners in every room
- Very experienced staff on every shift
