Description
Registered Nurse - Procedural (Vascular/Neuro Interventional Radiology)
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Neuro IR, Vascular IR, General IR (Call required)
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Job Summary
Provides nursing care under general supervision in specialty procedural areas including Neuro Interventional Radiology, Vascular Interventional Radiology, and General Interventional Radiology. Responsibilities include patient care, assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures, administering medications and IV infusions, monitoring patient physiological data, and coordinating care with support staff and family.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage assigned group of patients and document responses to treatments.
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Administer medications and regulate intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Monitor patient physiological status and intervene as necessary.
- Communicate care plans with patients and families, including at discharge.
- Delegate tasks to technicians and other support personnel.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate staff.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma.
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience, with experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program preferred.
Additional Information
- Call is required as part of the shift responsibilities.
