Physical Therapist Travel Job – California, Rancho Mirage

Job Summary

• Provide prescribed physical therapy treatments to facilitate rehabilitation of mentally or physically handicapped patients.
• Implement treatment plans and select modalities to meet specific established goals.
• Evaluate patient progress and assist with discharge planning.
• Maintain thorough, timely, legible, and consistent patient care documentation.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary communication to maximize patient outcomes.
• Provide education and mentoring for student interns as assigned.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and treatment areas.
• Participate in special department programs.
• Support patient flow by utilizing resources such as scheduling and printing forms.

Work Schedule

• 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• ASAP start.

Work Setting

• Outpatient environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (PT).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• Previous physical therapy or healthcare experience.

Additional Information

• Must demonstrate compliance with professional conduct and regulatory standards.
• Individual productivity expected to meet department standards.
• Ability to delegate patient treatment procedures appropriately.
• Emphasis on safe and comprehensive discharge planning.
