Description

Registered Nurse – Oncology Infusion (Chemotherapy)

Location: Terre Haute, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Week: 40 hours (Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday 7:00 AM - Noon, often finished earlier)
Schedule Flexibility: Some flexibility desired based on patient schedules


Job Summary

Provide nursing care in a busy chemotherapy infusion unit, including administration of intravenous chemotherapy drugs and other IV therapies, as well as pre- and post-treatment patient care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients prior to IV treatments
  • Access ports or peripheral IVs for lab draws and therapies
  • Administer chemotherapy and other IV infusions, including prescribed intravenous and oral pre-treatment medications
  • Operate infusion equipment and monitor patients during treatment
  • Monitor and respond to side effects or reactions, treating per established protocols

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • ACLS (AHA) certification
  • BLS (AHA) certification
  • Chemotherapy infusion experience preferred; chemotherapy certification is ideal but not mandatory
  • Experience with Cerner and Intellidose (TxM) systems is a strong plus

Additional Information

  • Dress code includes black scrubs or solid colors such as Ceil Blue, Royal Blue, Burgundy/Wine, or Pewter Gray
  • Prior travel experience is not specified or required for this position

This role is ideal for an RN with oncology infusion experience seeking a 13-week contract in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
