    Job Opportunity: Oncology Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

    Location: Edmonds, Washington
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Description

    • Position: Outpatient Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse
    • Schedule Options:
      • 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
      • 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
    • No weekends, no call, no floating required
    • Start Date: ASAP

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
    • Minimum of 3 years oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
    • Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
    • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
    • Experience with Epic electronic health record system

    Certifications & Competencies

    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
    • Other certifications may be required based on clinical track but not specified for this role

    Background & Compliance Requirements

    • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
    • Social Security Card (as applicable)
    • Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
    • Education verification required (nursing degree verification)
    • State-specific searches and verifications as required by Washington state law
    • NURSYS license verification required
    • Drug screening (9-panel) within 12 months of start
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Immunizations and health screenings:
      • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
      • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
    • Respirator medical clearance required annually for travel nurses

    References & Employment History

    • Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty within the last 3 years
    • Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates
    • Work history verification may be required if reference requirements are not met

    Additional Information

    • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
    • Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
    • Float policy acknowledgment may be required (may float to nearby facilities)
    • Radiation badges issued by facility as applicable
