Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient (Days)
Location: Midland, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 12
Job Description
- Provide skilled nursing care for ambulatory surgery patients with knowledge of operative procedures.
- Regularly assess patient needs and deliver nursing services as prescribed by the physician’s plan of care.
- Administer medications, treatments, respond to call lights and alarms, assist with patient transfers.
- Evaluate treatment plan effectiveness and collaborate with the care team to update plans as needed.
- Accurately process and carry out physician orders in a timely manner.
- Follow up on medication changes and clarify orders as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Ambulatory Surgery, including at least 1 year of recent experience
- Experience in Phase II recovery
- Preoperative nursing experience
- Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience
- Cardiovascular Recovery Area (CVRA) experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
