Job Opportunity: CST/ORT (Operating Room) - Travel Position

Location

  • Portland, Maine

Position Details

  • Role: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in Operating Room specialty
  • Employment Type: Travel contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Evening shift, 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
  • Hours per Week: 48 hours
  • Weekend Requirement: 1:4 rotation, 12-hour shifts
  • Call Requirement: One overnight call (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) for Trauma call; call schedule varies by specialty team (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho)
  • Number of Openings: Numerous

  • Patient Ratios: 1:1
  • Equipment Used: Storz, Stryker, Olympus, Intuitive Robot
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Epic
  • Patient Types: Operating Room patients including trauma and specialty surgeries

Required Qualifications

  • CST
  • Surgical Technologist (2 years of experience)
  • Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients

Additional Information

  • Dress Code: Teal scrubs issued by the hospital
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations and work well in a team environment is essential
  • No float requirements

This position is ideal for CSTs with solid trauma and OR experience seeking a travel assignment with a structured call schedule and evening shifts.
