Cath Lab Tech
Location: Bartlesville, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 07:00 AM – 05:30 PM
Job Summary
- Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
- Prepare and position patients, select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and regulations.
- Observe patients during procedures, report abnormal activity, and monitor protocols for updates.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Perform specialized imaging procedures including angiography, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures.
- Assist Radiologist/Physician Assistant during procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current professional license for Cath Lab Technician as required by state regulations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Cath Lab Technician specialty (default to highest requirement if discrepancy).
- Completion of specialty competency exam with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years.
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years.
- Color vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years.
- Fit test for respiratory protection completed prior to start and updated annually.
- Documentation of immunizations and health screenings including:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted)
- Varicella (two vaccines, serological evidence, or verified history; no declinations accepted)
- Tdap (valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
- 2-step PPD or IGRA testing for TB with annual questionnaire
- Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 90 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days prior to start.
- Employment verification for past 7 years, updated annually.
- Driver’s license or state ID valid and matching address requirements.
Additional Requirements
- Signed assignment agreement prior to start.
- Professional resume/profile and at least two professional references required before assignment.
- Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations).
- Completion of onboarding education attestation (6 hours pre-hire training).
- Skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually.
- Confirmation of assignment documentation upon initial assignment and extensions.
- Compliance with flu season mask policy if influenza vaccine exemption/declination is declared (flu season October 1 through March 31).
