Description
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)
Location: Granbury, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Float within Women's Services
- Must work 1 major holiday if assignment overlaps
- Maximum requested time off: 6 days within a 6-week period
- No call required
- No 48-hour option
- No block guarantee, but attempts will be made to accommodate
- Patient ratio:
- 1:1 during labor
- 3:1 for couplet care (mother and newborn)
- Scope of role includes Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and newborn care
- Ability to circulate C-sections
- High-risk labor management
- Pitocin titration
- Fetal monitoring interpretation
- Participation in neonatal resuscitation
- Postpartum/couplet care competency
- EMR systems used: GE Centricity Perinatal (CPN), Medhost for orders, charges, and medication scanning
- Scrub color: Navy blue or pink
- Facility size: 8 beds
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP certification
- Ability to circulate C-sections
- High-risk labor management
- Pitocin titration
- Fetal monitoring interpretation
- Participation in neonatal resuscitation
- Postpartum and couplet care competency
- Experience in LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) model
Preferred Qualifications
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and STABLE certifications
- Previous rural hospital experience
- Experience working in an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) model
Additional Notes
- Travelers must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
- Submissions missing required information (including home address and SSN) will be rejected
