Description
Registered Nurse - MS/Telemetry (Travel/Contract)
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Overview
- Float between units as needed
- Weekends required according to scheduling needs
- No on-call required
- Patient ratios typically 1:5-6
- Special focus on Orthopedic Trauma Care including:
- Post-operative care management
- Blood administration
- Wound vac management
- 48-hour shifts are not approved

- Short Term Acute Care
- Level II Trauma Center
- Total staffed beds: 379
Uniform/Dress Code
- Licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN): solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (scrub tops may have colored piping)
- Print tops not allowed except in Children’s Hospital and Women’s Services units (which have unit-specific attire)
- Unlicensed personnel wear solid hunter green uniforms or scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- Experience in Orthopedic Trauma nursing
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
