Description
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Freeport, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Job Summary
- Coordinate respiratory care for patients in designated practice areas.
- Utilize delegation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to optimize patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate leadership through team leading, prioritizing, and delegating.
- Assume professional responsibility and accountability for respiratory care outcomes.
- Integrate respiratory therapy theory into clinical practice.
- Provide age-specific respiratory care (neonatal through geriatric).
- Deliver care with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential via NBRC verification.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Preferred 2 to 5 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
- Experience with Bronchoscopy, Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Lab, and Therapist Driven Protocols is a plus.
Patient Population
- Care for patients ranging from neonates to 60 years old.
- May serve patients in areas beyond direct patient care.
Additional Information
- Scrubs may be any color but must not have cartoon characters.
- Work schedule includes every 3rd weekend rotation.
