Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel Position
Location: Houston, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: Speech Language Pathologist
- Number of Beds: 381
- Staff: 2 (1 FTE Speech Therapist day shift, 1 PRN Speech Therapist one day a week)
- Patient Ratios: Caseload dependent
- EMR System: Meditech Magic / Meditech Expanse
- Floating Areas: NICU, Pediatric, Adult
- Dress Code: Dark Blue scrubs; bare below the elbows in NICU
Job Description
- Evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities of patients with impairments or disabilities due to premature birth, birth injuries, injury, disease, or other causes.
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans appropriate to patient age and development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to assess and adjust intervention programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Texas
- Speech Language Pathologist (1 year of experience)
- Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
- ASHA Certification
- BLS
