Description
Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse
Location: Tampa, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Position requires experience in vascular and cardiac nursing.
- Work setting: Short Term Acute Care facility with Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma designations.
- Patient population includes diagnoses such as peripheral vascular disease, aortic disease, peripheral artery disease, carotid disease, coronary artery disease, valve disease, TAVR, and aortic dissections.
- Responsibilities include circulating open heart surgeries and vascular cases.
- Special procedures involved: angiograms, aortograms, EVAR, TVAR, TCAR, open AAA.
- Work environment includes a hybrid room with Cerner EMR charting system.
- Shift: Day shift, 4 shifts of 10 hours each (6:30 AM to 5:00 PM).
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1 during day shifts.
- Weekend requirement: Every third weekend (4 weekend shifts per contract).
- On-call required as needed.
- No floating outside scope of practice.
- Block scheduling may be discussed during interview.
- Locals accepted; pending licenses not accepted.
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions accepted).
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Florida
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience within the last year
- Minimum 1 year of vascular and cardiac nursing experience
- Ability to circulate open heart surgeries and vascular cases
- PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- mRS certification
- On-call availability as needed
