Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU
Location
- Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Number of beds: 10 beds in one PACU, 4 beds in another
- Patient ratios: 1:1 until critical elements met, then 2:1
- Equipment: Standard PACU equipment
- EMR system: EPIC
- Patient types: Recovery from general surgery, urology, ENT, orthopedics, colorectal, vascular, endoscopy, catheterization lab, interventional radiology
Work Schedule
- Varying 10-hour shifts (10:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
- Call required up to 4 times per 6-week schedule (only if covering call)
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 40
- Weekend shifts only if covering call
Required Certifications and Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 3 years of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
