Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours (includes 4 weekend shifts in 4 weeks)
Call Requirements: None
Unit Information
- Department: Emergency Department
- Number of Beds: 22
- Patient Ratios:
- 4:1 for pod patients
- 2:1 for critical patients
- 6:1 for fast track patients
- Patient Population: Trauma, STEMIs, psychiatric, cardiac, gastrointestinal, stroke, and all emergency cases
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Required Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
- Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Experience
- Trauma nursing experience
- Pediatric nursing experience
Work Environment & Culture
- Personality fit: Hard worker, resilient, team-oriented, easy-going
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color or print
- Unacceptable attire: Non-scrubs, t-shirts, open-toe shoes, hoodies, leggings
Additional Notes
- No float or call requirements
- No prior travel experience explicitly required
- Orientation provided bi-weekly
