Description

Registered Nurse (NICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
Shift Details: Rotating weekends and holiday requirements


Unit Information

  • Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Number of Beds: 60
  • Patient Ratios: 2-3 patients per nurse
  • Staffing: No techs available in NICU; unit secretaries present
  • Equipment: Philips Monitors
  • Documentation Systems: Meditech & Centricity Perinatal
  • Floating Policy: May float to comparable high-need areas
  • Dress Code: Navy, ceil blue, any shade of grey, or white scrubs; no long sleeves, watches, rings, or nail polish allowed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
  • Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

  • Schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays
  • Patient care requires advanced neonatal nursing skills
