X-Ray Technologist (Radiology / Cardiology) - Travel/Contract

Position Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour variable day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed (3 shifts per week)
• Schedule Rotation Example:

  • Week 1: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• On-call required, including possible holiday coverage
• No float or block scheduling required
• Primary responsibilities include surgery and fluoroscopy coverage; candidates must be proficient in both areas
• Scrub Color: Any color/brand accepted
• Charting system: EPIC
• Parking: Free

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with surgery coverage
• Experience with fluoroscopy coverage

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 30 days of start including:

  • National criminal check
  • State and county searches (10 years) with all aliases
  • SSN trace with all aliases
  • National sex offender registry
  • FACIS Level 3
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification with official transcript or diploma including graduation date
• Missouri EDL search required within 30 days of start

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within last 12 months (not required annually)
• Fit mask testing completed onsite at orientation
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q-Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year, updated annually; if positive, chest x-ray within 6 months and annual TB questionnaire required
• Immunizations or proof of immunity (2 doses or positive titer or declination accepted) for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
• Hepatitis B vaccination series, titer, or declination accepted; vaccination series must be completed on schedule if not previously done
• Seasonal flu vaccine required annually during flu season or approved medical/religious exemption with mask-wearing requirement
• Drug screen within 30 days of start (includes multiple drug panels)

Testing & Competency

• Basic Dysrhythmia (EKG) exam required with minimum 84% score; two attempts allowed except ICU (one attempt only)
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Pass/fail testing and competency exams required as applicable to specialty and profession

Documentation & Orientation

• Employment application required
• Verification of most recent employer and work history
• Two professional references within 3 years of start date
• Skills checklist required
• Confidentiality agreement and code of conduct acknowledgment must be signed
• Agency nurse orientation quiz with minimum 84% score required prior to start
• Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgment required

Additional Notes

• Locals within 50-mile radius accepted
• Return-to-Office (RTO) requests limited to 2 per contract
• AVADE training required onsite for RN and LPN candidates if extending past initial contract (not applicable for this role)
