Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel)

Unit Information

Unit: Medical-Surgical (MS2 & MS3)
Number of beds: 27 per floor
Patient ratio: 5:1
Staffing: Unit secretaries during dayshift; techs available on all shifts
Floating: Required to float between MS2 and MS3 units
Equipment: Computer on Wheels, Pyxis, Welch Allen vital sign machines
Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
Schedule: 3 days per week with every other weekend
Dress code: Dark blue uniform

Patient Population & Care

Basic Medical-Surgical patients
Post-operative patients, especially orthopedic cases
Procedures: Blood transfusions, IV and central line maintenance

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
