Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
Location
- Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Full-time
- Weekend on-call as needed
- On-call as needed
- Floating between locations required
Patient Population & Care Setting
- Post cardiac catheterization and post-surgical patients
- Patients on high-risk medications including Cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, and lidocaine drips
- Respiratory patients on non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV) such as BiPAP and AirVo
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5
- Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
Job Summary
- Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age and needs of the patient population on assigned units
- Ensure quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards
- Demonstrate professionalism and respect toward staff, physicians, patients, and families
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and modify individualized care plans
- Participate in patient and family education and discharge planning
- Perform point-of-care testing procedures
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 1 year telemetry experience within the last year
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
