Registered Nurse - Oncology (Travel Assignment)
Location
- Lewiston, Maine
- 2nd largest city in Maine with access to cultural and outdoor activities (skiing, fishing, hiking, kayaking)
- Nearby attractions: 40 minutes to Portland, ME; 15 minutes to Lost Valley Ski Resort; 1 hour to Old Orchard Beach; 2.5 hours to Acadia National Park
Contract Details
- Travel assignment
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (3 shifts of 12 hours per week)
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- No call requirements
Unit Profile
- Med-Surg/Oncology unit
- Trauma Level III facility
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients
- Float requirements: Must float to all inpatient areas
- Equipment used: Wound Vacs, Prevena Vacs, Baxter IV Pumps
- Electronic Health Records: Omnicell, Cerner, SBAR
- Patient population includes cancer, diabetes mellitus (DM), pneumonia (PNA), and general surgery cases
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
- Minimum 2 years of Oncology experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

- Emphasis on relationship-based care and flexibility in scheduling
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
