Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: Silvis, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM (overnight)

Job Description

• Work in the Emergency Department providing direct patient care.
• Schedule includes every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH).

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Fit test for respiratory protection.
• Negative results on a 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start date (no THC).
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination including booster by September 2025 (declination not accepted in Illinois).
• Proof of MMR vaccination or immunity.
• Hepatitis B vaccination series started prior to start date.
• Influenza vaccine is optional but recommended.
• Two-step Tuberculosis test (PPD) or IGRA with chest x-ray if positive.
• Proof of Varicella vaccination or immunity.
• Current Tdap vaccination or accepted declination if no pediatric interaction.
• Physical exam within the last year confirming fitness to work.

Background & Compliance

• Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering the last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start.
• Verification of highest level of education (degree or diploma).
• Exclusion and sanction screenings including EPLS, OIG, OFAC, NSO, and state-specific checks as applicable.
• Signed confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, integrity and audit services, and patient information security agreements.
• Completion of child and adult dependent abuse training (Iowa only).
• Completion of Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year.
• System access form completed and uploaded one week before start.

• All required documents and certifications must be uploaded and verified in the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
• Specialty skills checklist will be provided by the agency for clinical contractors.
• License verification must be dated within 30 days of start.
• Attach scanned copies of all certifications including front and back of cards where applicable.
