Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED Main)

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Job Description

Provide nursing care using specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in partnership with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Deliver culturally based and age-specific care adhering to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and ANA code of ethics.
Work in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department specializing in adult cardiac care and complex internal medicine.
Collaborate with an all-RN nursing staff alongside board-certified emergency medicine physicians, trauma surgeons, physician assistants, and social workers.
Utilize excellent critical thinking skills in a dynamic environment.

Schedule

3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification
PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
