Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED Main)
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care using specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in partnership with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Deliver culturally based and age-specific care adhering to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and ANA code of ethics.
- Work in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department specializing in adult cardiac care and complex internal medicine.
- Collaborate with an all-RN nursing staff alongside board-certified emergency medicine physicians, trauma surgeons, physician assistants, and social workers.
- Utilize excellent critical thinking skills in a dynamic environment.
Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Experience
