Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Location: Midland, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 10
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Assess and address the needs of each patient before and during cardiovascular surgical procedures, maintaining patient safety.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and document individualized care plans throughout the procedure.
- Provide leadership and supervision to the OR team, including coordinating schedule changes and assembling necessary equipment and supplies.
- Assist anesthesia as needed and monitor the sterile field.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, OR team members, supervisors, and ancillary departments.
- Participate in staff development through preceptorship, continuing education, and attendance at educational meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
- Minimum 3 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, with CVOR experience within the last year.
- Completion of at least one travel assignment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
