Job Opportunity: Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics

Schedule
- Day shifts, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day
- Shift options: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Rotating weekends once a month (Saturday & Sunday)
- Potential call shifts from 7:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Pediatric Echocardiography experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience working with both Adult and Pediatric patients
- Cardiac Sonographer experience
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and other standard screenings
- FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to California law)
- Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps; employment verification required for up to 7 years
- References: 2 professional references required within 3 years for clinical/allied/per diem acute care candidates
Certifications and Competencies
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required (Instructor or Advanced Provider Course)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification may be required depending on position
- Other certifications such as CCRN, TNCC, EFM, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on role specifics
- Competency exams (medication test, dysrhythmia/EKG competency) may be required as applicable
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, including clearance for work
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or failed tests)
- Immunizations required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titers or vaccination series with boosters as needed
- Hepatitis B: positive titer, series, or signed declination
- Varicella: positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 – Apr 30) or signed declination
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids)
- Respiratory safety clearance required prior to start and renewed annually
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, overpayment refund policy, and regulatory orientation prior to start
- TB screening questionnaire required within 90 days of start and renewed annually, signed by candidate and healthcare provider (MD, PA, NP/APN, DO, or RN)
- Photo for badge (passport-style, color, solid background) required for per diem positions
- Personal or auto insurance required only for driving positions
