Description
Infusion Nurse (Registered Nurse) - Travel/Contract
Location: Portland, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), Monday-Sunday variable with some weekend commitments
Call: No call required
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in community hematology/oncology infusion clinics.
- Patient population includes adult hematology and general medical oncology.
- Role includes patient education and care coordination as an RN navigator.
- Floating is rare but may be required across five clinic locations in the Portland metro area based on staffing needs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of infusion experience, with infusion experience within the last year
- Oncology nursing experience
- Experience in an outpatient setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Additional Requirements
- Must present a valid government-issued photo ID on the first day.
- Complete facility-specific orientation modules prior to start, including privacy, security, harassment prevention, and role-specific training.
- No call responsibilities.
- Must comply with professional appearance policy and facility COVID-19 protocols including vaccine attestations.
- May be required to complete medication override test and respirator clearance documentation.
- Must be fully available for compliance needs up to start date; notify recruiter of any planned unavailability.
Work Environment
- Primary site in Northwest Portland with potential floating to other nearby clinics.
- Hours of operation: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
- No overnight or on-call shifts.
- Patient care focused on infusion therapy in outpatient ambulatory settings.
