Description
Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Location
- Birmingham, Alabama
Employment Type
- Travel assignment
- Contract length: 32 weeks
Work Schedule
- Shift: 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Call requirements: One weekend per month and one day per week on call
- No float requirements
Unit Information
- Department: Cath Lab
- Number of labs: 4
- Patient ratio: 1 team member to 1 patient
- Equipment used: Merge Hemo
- EMR systems: Merge Hemo and Cerner (transitioning to Epic in August 2026)
- Patient population: Cardiac patients
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist within the last year
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Experience with IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
- Experience with Impella
- Experience with Laser
- Experience with Shockwave
- Experience with Phillips panning
Skills and Experience
- Must have experience with:
- IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
- Impella
- Laser
- Shockwave
- Phillips panning
- Preferred experience with Merge Hemo system
