Registered Nurse - Orthopedic Surgery
Location
- Missoula, Montana

- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week guaranteed
- Every third weekend required
- No call requirements
Unit and Patient Population
- Acute Care floor
- 31 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:6
- Patient population: Adult and Geriatric
- Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Montana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Orthopedic Surgery
- Orthopedic Surgery experience within the last year
- Med Surg experience
- Experience with NG tube placement and management
- Experience with chest tube maintenance
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

- Small bowel obstructions
- Diabetic complications
- Wound care
- Acute kidney injury
- Pneumonia
- Sepsis
Additional Information
- Float to other units as appropriate to experience
- Orientation dates available throughout the year
- Dress code: Any solid color scrubs; fluorescent colors are not acceptable
